Forest School
We love being in and learning about nature.
Set in a lovely Victorian town house with ample garden and outdoor space, Tiny Toes Nursery has an enviable wealth of resources, enabling hundreds of learning opportunities by play in a homely and welcoming environment.
We're fortunate in that we have been able to invest in improving the facilities, adding interactive whiteboards, CCTV, energy-saving LED lighting, wireless broadband, artists' murals (in our sleep room, cloak room and back garden) to name a few as well as a £15,000 renovation of our back garden. We are committed to developing and improving further in the future.

We love music, dancing and singing. We get to perform in regular sessions in dance, music and drama.

It is the objective of Tiny Toes Nursery to provide the highest standards of care and education for all children. We aim to provide a friendly, clean, comfortable and safe environment which stimulates and challenges every child and where enjoyment and fun are linked with discovery and learning. Staff are sensitive and responsive to the individual needs of each child and strive to meet them at all times. Each child's progress is observed and shared with parents. We use the `Early Years Foundation Stage milestones to identify, implement and assess impact of activities to stretch children and help them develop across the 7 areas of learning and development.

At Tiny Toes Nursery, we believe that building strong community partnerships enhances children's learning experiences and nurtures their understanding of the world. Our extensive collaborations with local businesses, organisations, and charities provide unique opportunities for children to engage with their surroundings, fostering curiosity, empathy, and a sense of belonging.
As proud members of Love Hoddesdon (Tiny Toes) and Love Cheshunt (Tiny Tots), we actively take part in local events such as St. George's Day Parade, Remembrance Service, and Christmas Fairs. In 2023, we were honored to sponsor the Christmas Light Installations, allowing our nursery to contribute to festive celebrations in the community.
Our children visit St. Catherine's and St. Paul's Church three times a year to celebrate Easter, Harvest Festival, and Christmas, giving them an opportunity to learn about traditions and community gatherings. Additional visits take place when the church hosts exhibitions or special events.
We nurture intergenerational relationships through regular visits to Chadwick and Broxbourne Care Homes. Tiny Tots visit Broxbourne once a month, while Tiny Toes visit Chadwick every three weeks, engaging in arts and crafts, storytelling, and games with the elderly residents. These interactions create a heartwarming exchange of wisdom and joy.
Our children enjoy hands-on experiences with local businesses such as Louise's Florist, where they participate in flower arranging and shop role-play. Around Valentine's Day, Louise donates flowers, which the children distribute to members of the public as an act of kindness. We also collaborate with Tesco Brookfield, where children take part in behind-the-scenes store tours, while their community champion donates items to support events like graduation and awards evenings.
Dog First Aid Hertfordshire: Teaches children how to care for dogs and provides first aid demonstrations. Keep a Beat: Offers first aid courses for parents and Mini Medic sessions for preschoolers. Emergency Services: We welcome visits from police officers, fire brigade teams, air ambulance crews, and road safety officers, who educate children about their roles and community safety.
Cheshunt Football Club: Our Tiny Tots have enjoyed tours of the grounds, met team members, and participated in mini football sessions, with free tickets offered to families. Mayhem Dance Studio: Leads engaging dance sessions both at the studio and within the nursery. Hoddesdon Library: Hosts reading sessions and book-related activities, encouraging early literacy skills.
NHS Prescribers Team: Facilitates games and crafts, introducing children to health and well-being concepts.
Appleman Charman Opticians: Hosts visits to educate children about eye care, while also donating items for roll-play areas.
Our children regularly visit parks, markets, forest school, and local recycling centers, helping them understand their environment and sustainability. Further afield, we organize train trips to Harlow Farm, excursions to Aldenham Country Park, and fruit picking at Cammas Hall, ensuring that children experience diverse learning opportunities.
Get in TouchGiving back to the community is a core part of our nursery values. We proudly support Marie Curie, hosting an annual Yellow Day fundraiser and Daffodil Appeal. During Christmas, we contribute to Hoddesdon Allstars and HABS Therapeutic Support, collecting toys, food, and financial donations to help families in need.
Each week, we offer engaging sessions such as:
